Can You Help Me?
The Harare Herald (Zimbabwe) reports:
A BUSINESSMAN lost $1,2 billion cash in a fire that gutted a room he had booked at Ngundu Rocky Motel, 100km south of Masvingo along the Masvingo-Beitbridge Highway at the weekend. But we've figured out a way to recover the money from his insurance company. The company, headquartered in Nigeria, will wire the money to the United States. So here's what we need you to do: Open a bank account with $50,000 of your money, and send the account number to us here at Glib & Superficial. We'll have the insurance money wired to that account, then transferred out, and leave your original deposit, plus $500,000 for you, just for being so kind and helping out Mr. Willias Shumba.

This is why I'm always so nervous when I have $1.2 billion in cash on me.
Is it likely that, this being a report from a paper based in a former british colony, 1.2 billion is probably only what an ugly american would consider 1.2 million dollars?
$1,200,000,000.00 seems a bit steep for a Nigerian house, even if it IS very nice.
$1.2 billion Zimbabwe dollars is worth a whopping $11,800 US and falling.
Does that mean you're not opening the account and depositing the money? We really, need your help.
