Here's the problem, in a nutshell

From the Associated Press description of this White House photograph of the President: "Obama is outdoors amid grass and trees with a rifle cocked in his left shoulder . . . ."

Sure, that's an odd angle at which to be shooting skeet.  Yes, we noticed the Mom Jeans.  Of course we're a bit concerned about his cheek against the stock.  But all you really need to know about the current reporting of the "gun debate" is that the Associated Press doesn't know the difference between a shotgun and and rifle.
